ETI ADDS EDUCATORS TO ADVISORY BOARD

ETI is very pleased to announce that Sam Lim and Barry Carbol of Merit Learning have  agreed to sit on the Company’s Board of Educational Advisors.

Sam Lim is a successful educational leader and businessman. He was most recently President and CEO, Reality Based Learning Company and Director of Canada Publishing Corporation and Gage Learning Company.

A well-known executive with an extensive global network in education, he has been British Columbia Assistant Deputy Minister of Education and school district Chief Executive Officer. His management experience includes strategic planning and public communications. He was Canada’s representative at APEC Education Forum and has chaired the Pan Canadian Science Project and the Canadian government Learnware Working Group developing strategies for Internet content development for education. He has advised the Canadian Department of Industry and chaired the Host Committee for the World Education Market (WEMEX) held annually in Vancouver and Lisbon.

Dr. Lim holds graduate degrees from the University of Oregon and Brigham Young University.

Barry Carbol is an experienced education executive having spent over 25 years in various capacities in public and private education and most recently in the private sector as a consultant and chief education officer-VP of Reality Based Learning a successful education internet company. 

He has taught at all levels of the system from elementary through graduate school, been an administrator, and has extensive executive management experience in curriculum and instructional design, learning resources, educational implementation, measurement and assessment, and educational technology.  Among his academic credentials, Dr. Carbol holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology (measurement and evaluation) from the University of Alberta and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Oregon.
