SPACE SIMULATION - PART - INITIAL TRAINING

Vancouver Companies Develop Space Simulation Software
Working with US Space and Rocket Center and Space Camp

ETI Entertainment Technologies Inc. in association with Ingenuity Works Inc. are developing the first in a series of Space simulation products for the home entertainment and education markets.

The products will allow users to participate in actual astronaut training and missions through their PC at home or school. The first product includes a detailed 3D-Virtual Tour of the Space Shuttle, a full Shuttle Operational Briefing and Simulator training using actual flight plans. It also includes introductory simulations for both the Canadarm, the Remote Manipulator System for the Orbiter, and Canadarm2, Canada's major contribution to the International Space Station. The products will also include a special section for educators complete with selected lesson plans and learning outcomes to meet curriculum requirements.

These products were developed under a license ETI has with the US Space and Rocket Center and US Space Camp. US Space Camp has graduated well over 300,000 participants over the last 20 years from ages seven to seventy-five. Their headquarters, located at NASA's Marshal Space and Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, includes a series of full-sized Shuttle Simulators, each with their own "Mission Control Center", a neutral buoyancy tank to simulate working in micro-gravity and a moon-walker simulator. It also has one of the last remaining Saturn 5 Rockets from the Apollo program.

The first product, for planned release in CD and Internet versions in May, should be have priced at less than thirty dollars and will also include specially-priced licenses for schools.
